1.For lodging in Ningbo,an alien ,an overseas Chinese or a resident from Hong Kong,Macao or Taiwan or the host providing lodging shall,within 24 hours (72 hours in rural areas)of the lodger’s arrival,report to the local public security organ with the lodger’s valid exit-entry certificate(passport)or residence certificate and register for temporary accommodation.

2.An aliens holding such visas as D,Z,X, or J-1 shall,within 30 days of entry into China mainland,obtain an Alien Residence Certificate or an Alien Temporary Residence Cerlificate from the Exit–Entry Administration Division of Ningbo Public Security Bureau.

3.Aliens or residents from Taiwan who need to prolong their stay or residence in Ningbo beyond the expiration of their visas(or endorsements)or residence certificates shall apply to the Exit-Entry Administration Division of Ningho public Security Bureau for an estension before the espiration of their visas (or endorsements)or residence certificates.

4.In case of any changes in the information written in an Alien Residence Certificate,the holder of the residence certificate shall,within 10 days, register the change or changes with the Exit-Entry Administration Division of Ningbo Public Security Bureau.

5.If the certificate or property of an alien,an overseas Chinese,or a resident from Hong Kong,Macao or Taiwan is lost or stolen,he/she shall immediately report it to the local public security organ,and then apply to Exit-Entry Administration Division of Ningbo public Security Bureau for a new certificate or a“lost passport certificate”or“lost property certificate”.

6.Aliens,overseas Chinese,or residents from Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan,at and above the age 16, shall carry with them their residence certificates or exit-entry certificate(passport)at all time.

7.No aliens,overseas Chinese. or residents from Hong Kong,Macao or Taiwan are allowed to work in Ningbo without permission from the authorized departments of labor.

8.When his duties require,a public security officer may inspect the residence certificate or exit-entry certificate(passport)of an alien,an overseas Chinese or a resident from Hong Kong,Macao or Taiwan.

9.Aliens,or residents from Taiwan who reside or stay in China mainland exceeding the time limit shall be given a warning or imposed with a fine,or even be held in detention for 3 to 10 days;If the case is serious,the offender shall concurrently be ordered to leave the China mainland within a specified period of time.

10.Where the alien,or a resident from Taiwan,Hongkong,Macao has violated the regulations or laws and unfit for continually staying or residing in China mainland,their term of stay may be curtailed or the status of residence in China mainland may be cancelled.
