Ala Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition is composed of performance in the main display area, intangible cultural heritage parade, exhibition of intangible cultural heritage and display of creative intangible cultural relics. On the day of the opening of the tourism Festival, the intangible cultural heritage parade, which will be held for the first time, will be organized into three parts, namely Happy Land, Green Land and Sunshine Sailing. It will be a grand gathering of 16 quality intangible cultural relics from local areas. As part of the event of Ala Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition, the display of creative intangible cultural heritage will be held in No.10 Exhibition Hall of Ninghai Shilihongzhuang Cultural Park on May 18. The display includes the exhibition of intangible cultural heritage titled “Past and Present” and an exhibition of Ninghai handicrafts and appliances making techniques in Shilihongzhuang Cultural Park. The display will last until June 2. “Past and Present” exhibition of intangible cultural heritage has attracted the participation of 21 organizations and companies, including Cixi Yue Kiln Celadon and Ningbo Museum, and a wide array of traditional Ninghai handicrafts will be on display, such as wood carving, bamboo weaving, gold painting and lacquer art.

Zhang Juqin, deputy director and party member of Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, said that it is the first time that Ala Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition has been integrated with Ninghai China Xu Xiake Tourism Festival, which combines exhibitions of intangible heritage and festive celebrations. Such a pattern of “intangible cultural heritage + tourism” boosts rural revitalization and advances deepened integration of culture and tourism. Meanwhile, this year’s Ala Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition features many highlights. For example, stalls will be put up at the exhibition site, providing tourist with diverse creative cultural products. The “intangible cultural heritage + creative cultural products” model can help bring traditional handicrafts to people’s life.
