On the same day, he would harvest more than 50 kilograms of barley rice, which was purchased by barley workshop. Fu Xuehong grows barley rice and earns about 40,000 yuan a year.

Fu Xuehong's wife, Qin Lianfen, works in Guizhou Barley Industry Development Co., Ltd. and is responsible for packaging processed barley rice with a monthly fixed income of 4,200 yuan. "Almost every household in our village grows barley rice." Qin Lianfen said with a smile. Barley rice is not only a pillar industry in Bihen Village, but also a characteristic and advantageous industry in Bihen Town.

"Barley rice has incubated a large industry with an annual output value of more than 100 million yuan, which has lifted more than 10,000 poor households out of poverty." said the party secretary of Bihen Town.

Guizhou Coix is the best in the world; Qinglong Coix is the best in Guizhou. With its unique climate and soil conditions, Qinglong produces high-quality barley rice. “The original five cooperatives processing barley rice in Bihen Town have little income due to their small industrial scale, scattered operations, and backward production techniques.” Chen Kang from Ninghai, who is now working in Qinglong, said that after Ninghai’s pairing with Qinglong, the "Poverty Alleviation Workshop" project was started. Barley rice in Bihen Town has become one of the agricultural products for industrial poverty alleviation in the two places.

Based on the focus of industrial poverty alleviation, Ninghai relies on the agricultural industrialization poverty alleviation model to form a tripartite industrial complex of "leading enterprises + cooperatives + poor households", and establish a scientific branded quality management system. The local leading company Zhezhifang was selected as the project partner. In May last year, the Guizhou barley rice big data industrial park construction project was officially launched, with a total investment of 14 million yuan, of which 10 million yuan was Ningbo aid funds, mainly used for the preparation of the new barley factory and equipment upgrading.

In April of this year, the new plant of Zhezhifang was completed and put into production. The plant and equipment were renewed. The annual output increased from 8,000 tons to 14,000 tons. From traditional barley rice, to barley tea, barley oatmeal, and then to barley skin care products, the company has continuously enriched product categories and opened up online and offline sales channels, with an annual output value of 160 million yuan.

"After the new plant was put into operation, we recruited 15 nearby villagers to engage in production and processing, and the demonstration helps 12,500 farmers work in Qinglong's barley rice base. The average annual income of the growers increased by 12,800 yuan. At the same time, we adopted the "company + farmers' professional cooperative + farmers" According to the model, we signed an agreement with 30 cooperatives in the county to purchase 52,000 acres of barley rice with a minimum guarantee, and protect the income of growers through the dual insurance model of "agricultural insurance + guaranteed purchase by leading enterprises"." Wang Han, the administrative manager of Zhezhifang, told the author, according to the agreement, the company also distributes dividends to 500 poor households each year, with an average annual income increase of 1,200 yuan. At present, Barley Workshop has two production lines with an annual processing capacity of 4,500 tons of barley rice, two production lines with an annual output of 1 million boxes of barley rose tea, and has established the Guizhou barley rice research institute to conduct in-depth product research and development.
