In order to better grasp the development trend of the new energy storage industry and explore the development path of our city's new energy storage industry, the Ningbo "Digital Future" Series Forum & New Energy Storage Industrial Development Salon, organized by the Ningbo Municipal Economic and Information Technology Bureau and the Ningbo Municipal Digital Economy Administration, and assisted by the Ninghai County Economic and Information Technology Bureau, were successfully held in the Ninghai County.

The event is themed on new energy storage (electrochemical energy storage), and invited Deputy Secretary General Chen Yongchong from the Energy Storage Application Branch of the China Industrial Association of Power Sources, Dr. Xie Binhuan from the WeView Technology, etc. to deliver keynote reports. More than 40 industrial experts from relevant departments, new energy storage enterprises, scientific research institutes, investment institutions, and so on in our city were organized to participate in the event, providing suggestions for the layout and development of the new energy storage industry in our city.

According to the data provided by the Energy Storage Application Branch of the China Industrial Association of Power Sources, by 2025, the scale of new energy storage industry is expected to exceed trillion, and by 2030 expected to be close up to 3 trillion. New energy storage is the main addition to energy storage. In the first half of this year, a total of 8.63GW of new energy storage was put into operation in China, and the annual newly installed capacity of new energy storage is expected to be 20GW. In the field of new energy storage, Ningbo has initially formed an industrial layout with the Risen Energy, the Ginlong Technologies, and the SYL Battery as the core enterprises. The Yongjiang Laboratory, the Ningbo Research Institute of the Northwestern Polytechnical University, the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology & Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Ningbo University and other scientific research institutes are also actively laying out the construction of scientific innovation platforms in the field of new energy storage.
