On October 28, the 220kV Quanshui Substation– Zhejiang Province's first new-type digital intelligent substation at this voltage level – was officially energized and put into operation.

As the fourth 220kV substation in Ninghai, Quanshui Substation will provide a robust power support point for the local grid upon operation. It will help construct a 220kV backbone network optimized for heavy load distribution and establish a new power supply framework based on a 110kV foundational network that ensures efficient coordination between the main and distribution grids.

In the future, with the rapid development of new energy projects like photovoltaics in the Ninghai area, Quanshui Substation will also leverage its SVG dynamic reactive power compensation system to effectively mitigate fluctuations in PV power output. This will provide stable support for the integration of new energy sources and promote the interactive upgrade of "generation-grid-load-storage" components within the new power system.

Moving forward, taking the operational launch of Quanshui Substation as an opportunity, State Grid Ningbo Power Supply Company will continue to advance the digital, intelligent, and low-carbon transformation of substations. The aim is to create demonstration models for the new power system, providing a reliable power guarantee for Ningbo's development as a modern coastal metropolis.
