Vehicles shuttling, cranes swinging, machinery roaring... In recent days, the Ningbo south section of the Yongtai-Wen Expressway expansion and reconstruction project under Zhejiang Communications Group has kicked into "high gear", with over 5,800 builders battling on the front lines of construction, sprinting towards annual targets. The photo shows the construction site of Section 1 in Fenghua District.

It is learned that the project spans approximately 69 kilometres and is an important component of the national G15 Shenhai Expressway network. Starting from Xiwu Sub-district in Fenghua District and ending at the Yongtai boundary of Ma'ao Ridge Tunnel in Ninghai County, the project has a total investment of 19.005 billion yuan and is scheduled to be completed and open to traffic by the end of 2027. As of now, the project has completed more than 50% of the total volume for all sections, including pile foundations, cap beams, cover beams, steel structures and roadbeds.
