Meishan Village, Huchen Township, has become a provincial-level beautiful and livable demonstration village.

A few days ago, it was learned from the Municipal Natural Resources Planning Bureau that three comprehensive land consolidation projects in Ningbo were selected as provincial-level high-quality projects for comprehensive land consolidation in 2023, which are the comprehensive land consolidation and ecological restoration project of 7 villages including Wuxin Village, Shipu Town, Xiangshan County, the comprehensive land consolidation and ecological restoration project of 6 villages including Meishan Village, Huchen Township, Ninghai County, and the comprehensive land consolidation and ecological restoration project of 7 villages including Mirage Village, Gulin Town, Haishu District.

Since 2021, Zhejiang has continuously carried out the selection of provincial-level high-quality projects for the comprehensive land improvement projects implemented in various places, and a total of 103 provincial-level high-quality projects have been selected, and so far, a total of 10 projects in Ningbo have been selected.

The most prominent feature of Ningbo’s comprehensive land consolidation is that it is adapted to local conditions.

Taking the three selected projects as an example, the demonstration area of Shipu Town, Xiangshan County, covers an area of 25.36 square kilometers, integrating marine elements with mountains, waters, forests, fields and villages, building an intensive and efficient production space, a livable and moderate living space, and an ecological space with beautiful mountains and rivers, forming a global renovation pattern of integration of mountains and rivers. After the remediation, the multi-field matching rate in the project area increased by 10%, and the farmland mechanization rate reached 95% after land transfer. In addition, 80 acres of idle land resources in rural areas will be revitalized, and the docking of urban and rural resource elements will be leveraged, and 6 enterprises will be introduced to attract entrepreneurial and innovative personnel to the countryside.

The demonstration area of Huchen Township, Ninghai County, covers an area of 25 square kilometers, vigorously develops the matcha industry through global renovation, and at the same time combines the construction of a beautiful and livable demonstration village and the Taoyuan Scenic Area of Dongshan to promote the integrated development of primary, secondary and tertiary industries, and form a rural ecological industry integrating agricultural product planting, characteristic processing, outdoor sports, and leisure and tourism. Ninghai also fully excavates the characteristics of the village, adheres to the principle of one village, one product, and forms characteristic village agglomeration areas such as Zhongbaoxi Agricultural Festival and Meishan Leisure Fishing, so as to realize that the village is the scenery and the scenery is the village.

The demonstration area of Gulin Town, Haishu District covers an area of 15.45 square kilometers, with cultivated land protection as the core, and strives to improve the level of agricultural modernization through the infrastructure construction of the provincial modern agricultural park and the national digital agricultural park, and makes overall arrangements for farmland consolidation projects, village consolidation projects, ecological restoration projects and characteristic industry projects, so as to achieve “land consolidation + industrial upgrading”.

It is understood that Ningbo currently has a total of 68 provincial-level comprehensive land consolidation projects, and 41 of them have been completed and passed the municipal acceptance. In the next step, the city will continue to strengthen project planning, supervision and acceptance, and help more high-quality projects emerge in comprehensive land consolidation projects.
